For Manhattan express bus, now comes the $7.50 fare.

You’ll remember the big to-do earlier this year when County Executive Robert Astorino proposed scaling back Bee-Line bus service to save money, including the elimination of the Manhattan express bus many commuters use to get to work.

The upshot was that the service was saved, but reduced, and that the fare would be increased. Well, on July 27, the county will hold a hearing on the proposal to increase the fare to $7.50 for a one-way ride. (It’s now $5.50.)

Bee-Line Winter Service Changes

The Westchester County Bee-Line bus system will make seasonal route changes Feb. 15 to meet demands. Here’s the announcement:

BEE-LINE BUSES TO MAKE WINTER SCHEDULE CHANGES
Service to be increased on some routes and reduced on others
Schedules on several bus routes will change on February 15 when the Bee-Line System implements its winter service changes.
