Bee-Line Winter Service Changes

The Westchester County Bee-Line bus system will make seasonal route changes Feb. 15 to meet demands. Here’s the announcement:

MTA Chief “Very Concerned” About More State Cuts

There’s a lot of pain all around in Gov. David Paterson’s $134 billon state budget plan released Tuesday. Some of it will fall on the Metropolitan Transportation Authority, which would get $104 million less than had been expected.

Ferry to Ossining restarts tomorrow. Not to Beacon yet.

The Haverstraw-Ossining ferry passengers will board the boat again tomorrow after more than two weeks of taking a bus instead, Metro-North announced.

Rockland lawmakers object to proposed Metro-North cuts

Perfect Weekend for Metro-North

Maybe some people were sluggish and reluctant to venture out in the bitter cold last weekend, but not Metro-North. The railroad reports that every one of its trains made every stop on time.

That’s 757 one-way runs on the Hudson, Harlem and New Haven lines and 76 trains run by the NJ Transit for  the railroad on the Pascack Valley and Port Jervis lines.
