Thruway offers more traffic tools on its Web site

July
21

Drivers who use the Thruway now can receive up-to-the-minute traffic conditions on the state Thruway Authority’s Web site.

Regional advisory messages, similar to those broadcast on the authority’s Highway Advisory Radio stations, have been added to the online map. The messages are available in both text and audio format.

Along with the messages, Web site users can also click on and access approximately 60 traffic cameras across the 641-mile Thruway.

The interactive mapping interface also displays clickable icons for accident and traffic conditions, road and lane closures, roadwork, interchanges and toll barriers, travel plazas and parking/rest areas.

Check the box next to the icons in the left column to activate your options.
