Service restored on NJ Transit’s Pascack Valley line

March

Train service has resumed on New Jersey Transit’s Pascack Valley line.

The entire morning commute was virtually wiped out after power lines fell across the tracks in River Edge, N.J.

Service was restored shortly before 10 a.m., after Public Service Electric & Gas crews finished making repairs, NJ Transit spokesman Joe Dee said.

Rockland commuters who catch the train in Spring Valley, Nanuet or Pearl River this morning had to scramble to find another way to work.

Passes were being cross-honored on NJ Transit’s Main and Bergen lines, which stops in Suffern and Sloatsburg, as well as on NJ Transit buses.
