Watch for lane closures on TZ Bridge this Sunday

Two Rockland-bound lanes on the Tappan Zee Bridge will be closed for six hours Sunday morning for a charity bike ride.

The Great TZ Bike Tour for MS, sponsored by the National Multiple Sclerosis Society-Southern New York chapter and the state Thruway Authority, begins at 7:45 a.m.

Drivers may experience delays on the northbound Thruway from 6 a.m. to noon from Interchange 8 (Cross Westchester Expressway) across the bridge to Interchange 11 (Nyack).

Between 6 a.m. and noon, interchanges 10 (South Nyack) and 11 (Nyack) northbound will be closed. Traffic heading to the Nyacks will be rerouted through Interchange 12 (West Nyack).

Throughout the ride, the Tappan Zee Bridge will have two Rockland-bound and three Westchester-bound lanes open. The speed limit will be reduced to 45 mph.
